GERMAN SPITZ
KLEIN I was disappointed to find a number of exhibits with very upright shoulders, a failing that spoils length and arch of neck and outline. With just a few exceptions all exhibits were clean and well groomed.
PD (6) 1 Hawker’s Chilite Wite Spirit. Good black with the best of fronts. Neat ears and a good mouth. Tight feet, good tailset, his huge trousers made him look somewhat unbalanced but I found him correct upon handling. Reasonable mover. 2 Roberts’ Oberitz Sunspot. Nicely marked particolour. His ears are slightly close at this time but his skull is likely to alter and this may well right itself. Good legs and feet, well sprung body and a good tailset. 3 Serman’s Tymy Tymex.
JD (5) 1 Wright’s Minigardens Emil Lovely Boy (Imp). A white which I found a little fine all through for a male. In excellent coat and condition, good mouth and lovely dark eyes. Standing on good feet and an excellent tailset. 2 McCullock and McCullock’s Flactem Whizzby. Lovely headed exhibit with excellent ears, eyes and muzzle. Front and pasterns not as good as the winner and this was evident on the move, though he does have good, tight feet. Hind action ok. 3 Serman’s Tymy Tymex.
PGD (3) 1 Hayward’s Holbain Cool Fool. Brown and white parti with super coat texture. Great head and ears and a good mouth. Excellent legs and feet, good shoulders and tailset. In good muscular condition and moved well. 2 Hamer’s Dajelilne Charmander. Excellent condition and texture to cream jacket. Not quite typical in head for me, very compact in body with a good topline and tailset. Nice tight feet and moved well going away. 3 Leadbetter’s Kartmel Take It To the Limit at Pommary.
LD (6,1) 1 Andrew’s Porterble Sirius Black from Runfold. This one just oozes GS type, head of correct proportions with excellent eyes, mouth and ears. Good neck and pleasing spring of rib. Lovely legs and feet and excellent on the move. Res CC. 2 Hamer’s Dajelilne Charmander. 3 Holmes’ Oberitz Prinz Charming.
OD (8,1) 1 Mole’s Molead Moon Beam. Lovely coloured orange male with a super coat which was beautifully presented. Pleasing muzzle to skull relationship with the correct stop and blending nose and eye colour. Perhaps his ears could be neater but this would be nit-picking. Well sprung ribcage of correct length and excellent legs and feet. Good front, topline and tailset and moved with true purpose and style. CC. 2 Hill’s Enzo Z Temnych Noci at Cyfelin (Imp). In beautiful coloured coat, resembling a mini Keeshond. Excellent bone to his legs and neat feet. Quality head type with good skull eyes and muzzle, just felt his ears were a little close set for true appeal. Good body and well made all through, good action. 3 Wright’s Int Ch Rikki von Chandrapura at Orion (Imp).
PB (6) 1 Hawkins’ Lusam Cheeky Girl at Zarnika. Black baby with an ideal outline, typical in head with a good stop and a pleasing neck. Excellent spring of rib and good legs and feet. Could be more positive in front. Coat will improve with age. 2 Hill’s Tymy Tourbilloin of Kilima. Pretty sable of typical outlook, nothing pommy about her. Adeq2uate bone and good feet and she moved reasonably well. Nicely trained for one so young. 3 Bradbury’s Baobab Gipsy Rose by Wychlea.
JB (8) 1 Moir and Moir’s Stormavon Sky Flyer to Jansanleis. Excellently coated white with super pigmentation. Nice size with a good head and skull proportions, tapering wedge muzzle and nicely set ears. Pleasing neck, front, topline and tailset. Good legs and feet and she moved ok. 2 Bradbury’s Wychlea Isadora Ball. This exhibitor’s hallmark, jet black is in a very compact and small package. Superb coat with a pleasing head. Good spring of rib but felt she just lacked the correct angulation at the rear, giving her a stilted action. Moved well coming towards me. 3 Hawkins’ Flactem Spinaround at Zarnika.
PGB (7) 1 Gittoes’ Molead Majic Queen at Jendale. My notes on this brown have just one negative and otherwise she is lovely, she has a good head with correct muzzle and skull relationship, good eyes and mouth. Liked her neck, topline and tailset. The correct spring and length to her ribcage and excellent action earned her the Res CC. 2 Holmes’ Precious Sapphire. Somewhat out of coat. Correct shoulder angulation and pleasing head type carried her into this position. Good legs and feet and a good action both ways, must do well when in full jacket. 3 Sheasby’s Baobab Gipsy in Black.
LB (5) 1 Storm’s Stormavon Scotch Mist. Smart white with correct coat and an easy winner here, with her true action both ways. Pleasing type with good body proportions, level topline and excellent tailset. Good pigmentation, presented well and handled to perfection. 2 Tullis’ Radajasa Double Fizzion. Another white standing on good legs and feet. Correct outline with a good neck, topline and tailset. Perhaps a little steep in stop for the perfect head but otherwise a rather good type. Not as pleasing as winner on the move. 3. Allison’s, Oberitz Astrobee.
OB. (4,1). Dyer’s, Ch. Wychlea the Duchess. Such a well made black that I have admired on a previous occasion and this time there was no one to prevent her achieving the top spot with CC and BOB. Lovely head type with excellent muzzle and skull, small ears and correct oval eyes. Well ribbed in both directions and standing on good legs and feet. True action both ways, could not be denied on the day. 2. Bradbury’s, Wychlea Marnie Brown. Lovely headed bitch that I judged and much admired as a puppy. It is so interesting to see how a dog develops and she did not disappoint. Everything in all the right places although she is not quite as positive in front as the winner. I think her title will not be long in coming. 3. Wright and Storm’s, Ch. Orion Absolutely Fabulous.
VB. (1). 1. Wright and Wright’s, Chilite Midnight Magic. Another black who was enjoying a day out. Rather overweight now which was doing nothing for her front. Pleasing head type with dark eyes.
