Critique
I am sorry this critique is late, I have been searching without success for my original notes that were lost during my house move so this report has been compiled from memory. Thank you for such a good entry I was delighted with many winners but often disappointed in the younger classes particularly as they are the future of the breed. I would like to see more quality in depth in these classes. Mouth faults were greater in number than before I would like to see some otherwise good males more masculine in outlook.Movement was mediocre, some would have benefited from a fraction more rear extension though croups in general were not too steep and rear angulation sufficient. Fronts were average with some front feet at ten to two. There were some lovely dogs to go over, it came down to the wire for BOB and could have gone either way, the bitch finally held her topline that bit better.
PD 11 (2) Hill’s Cyfelin Rudna Romeo, masculine head with well set ears, well developed body and good bone, balanced angulation front and back, correct double coat with good texture,. moved steadily; 2 Thomas’ Cyfelin Rudna Razzle Dazzle from Indizak. Less mature litter brother to 1 Still at the wings and legs stage and not as well coated, good profile. Handled well and pleased on the move 3 Horton’s Holbain Mr Pringle
JD 8 1. Wright’s Orion And Your Point Is, A cobby little black dog, good ears, possibly would like more masculine head but time yet, a good harsh coat, well set tail holding his topline at all times, moved well in profile.2 Horton’s Holbain Mr Pringle. Well pigmented cream with good eye, not as compact as 1 but with excellent texture coat and good tail, movement fair.3 Avent’s Paulgeo Devon Black Diamond
PGD 6 1 Norkett’s Applebanks Thrupence. Neat little dog, good head mouth ears and eye. well ribbed up, short loin, excellent coat and a lovely straight front with good feet pointing forward. Moved well coming and going, a nice unexaggerated dog, possibly would like more of him with slightly more masculine outlook. 2 Pearce and Francis Stormavon Son of a Legend f Longsdale. Well pigmented cream with good body and tail set, harsh double coat, moved reasonably well. 3 Clarke’s Stonelight Ricochet
LD 4 1 Serman’s Tymy Tymex. 1 Sable dog whose head shadings detract from proportion. Dark eye, Ear set OK but would like them smaller, solid body that handled well, excellent harsh double coat, covered ground in profile. 2. Allison’s Oberitz Renagade Smart compact little dog with pleasing head, had good body proportions and coat. 3 Hammer’s Dajelilne Charmander
OD 7 1 Chamber’s Ch Nosregor Hot Shot For Musique Ch CM Excellent mature brown dog with just the masculine head and expression I was looking for, lovely ears. Good solid body, well ribbed up with strong loin , excellent bone and harsh coat., well set tail,; strong mover; both ways and in profile, had no hesitation in awarding him the CC.; Andrew’s Ch Porterble Sirius Black From Runfold. A younger, slightly finer dog with an excellent profile. Correct ears eyes and expression. Very well balanced front and back and good height /length ratio. Not in full coat but sufficient coat of correct texture. Difficult to assess movement at times as he loves to fool around, but sound covering the ground when it could be observed,. RDCC 3 Stannard’s Ch Lusam Davey Dingle.
PB 16(5) Serman’s Tymy Footsteps Lovely puppy of promise.Square outline with sufficient leg length and good feet, Well shaped eye and ear. good body and loin, promising coat of good texture. Preferred her set on and use of neck to that of the lovely BPD which gave her BPIB
2 Hammer’s Lasaulette Tipp Top Tilly Very well coated and presented with good ears and eyes. Well developed body, moved OK in profile.
3 Pearce and Francis Radajasa Agent Cher Bertfiz of Longsdale
JB 8(2) 1 Serman’s Tymy Quicksteps Litter sister to PB winner and similar Good type of bitch standing foursquare A nightmare to assess movement otherwise most promising.
2 Metcalfe’s Longsdale Lady Myla. Had a dilemma with this bitch, Just under the minimum measure and rather fine all over but had good body proportions, good feet, well coated, moved soundly. Would like a more typical spitz head though ear and eye OK. With the future of the breed in mind would like to see more substance. 3 May’s Ayupduck Queen Bee
PGB 3(2) 1 Chambers & Highmoor's Jolieville Starlight Loved this brown bitch of class and substance, good head , solid body, well developed front, strong mover. Not quite as good going away as the RCC winner but pushed her hard. Still a youngster and with more experience could trouble many.
LB 3(2) 1 Garwood’s Printzagems Tantalize Well coated bitch with pleasant head and good body, moved well.
OB 6 (1) Allison’s Oberitz Astrobee, black, This bitch took me by surprise not a glamour girl but on top form today moving with verve. So correct in every department, excellent head with well placed ears, good eye and mouth correct stop and back scull, excellent conformation front and back, well bodied with strong loin and overall good balance that showed in her level topline when moving. Sound both coming and going and moved into a perfect stance every time giving a classic profile. CC and BOB and delighted to hear it made her up.2 Trendle’s Lusam Parti Popper. Good eyes ears and mouth. Firm body with good depth and length of leg, nice balance. Well muscled and correct coat. A trifle free in front at first but settled down to show very sound movement with even footfall coming and going, something that was hard to find today. RBCC 3 May’s Ch Chilite painted Feather
