Critique
German Spitz Klein
There still seems to be a problem with mouths & temperaments in some Kleins, temperament as always was excellent in Mittels.
MPD (3) 1 May’s Ayupducks Bees Knees, 7 months cream baby, nice head, eye, well placed ears used well alert expression, with good attention to handler, would prefer a slightly darker pigmentation. Firm neck, level firm topline, good tailset, moved nicely in nice coat & condition, one to watch. BP; 2 Horton’s Applebanks Mr Dante, black 6 months, nice head, good mouth lovely eye, well placed & well used ears, nice body well set tail, not typical coat, needs to be perfectly straight; 3 Hinks’ Oberitz Toy Story. PD (5) 1 Mole’s Chilite Shooting Star, 9 months gold who makes a nice shape when stood, is square, neat & tidy, nice head, correct clean dentition. Well made dog but I feel he needs body & some training to become a better dog as he has so much potential, lovely coat just need to settle on the move; 2 Hinks Oberitz Buzz Light Year, 7 months cream, nice head, good eye, correct mouth, not the most confident of babies, young handler had trouble keeping his tail up, nice type although smaller, needs body & more confidence; 3 A Mr Dante. JD (1) 1 Halligans Nardick New Moon at Icabel, although standing alone here, have admired him for some time, lovely head nice eye, good clean mouth firm body in good condition, good bone & substance. Makes nice outline with good proportions, good coat in texture & length, well set tail moved nicely but too close in front nicely trimmed feet, overall good example of the breed. PGD (3) 1 Highmoor’s Printzagems Verve, 19 months super black, this boy grabbed my attention the second he entered the ring. Most beautiful head of correct proportions, dark well shaped eye, well set ears, perfect clean dentition, correct bite, short firm neck set well into muscled shoulders, good topline with correct high set tail. Nicely boned with substance throughout, beautiful coat of correct texture, in immaculate condition, moved correct fore & aft with in profile covering ground well. True showman who well deserved the CC, his third, no doubt he will collect many more; 2 Horton’s Holbain Mr Pringle, cr/s, nice head, dark eye, good ears used well, good mouth, nicely presented with good substance. Slightly longer in loin than 1, good coat, moved OK but a little behind; 3 Heyward’s Holbain Cool Fool. LD (4) 1 Furber’s Holbain Choc-O-Late, chocolate, masculine head nice eye, good mouth correct pigment, ears could be smaller, nice outline, good body & substance, enough bone, moved OK when settled, not in full coat but texture was correct, colour good; 2 Norkett’s Applebanks Thruppence, gold, slightly smaller type, nice head good mouth, pigment too pale, makes a nice outline, carries tail well, moved OK but needs body; 3 Heyward’s Holbain Cool Fool. OD (1) 1 Wright’s Mintgardens Emil Lovely Boy, white, although standing alone here he is a very nice dog, compact nice size, masculine head good mouth, dark eye, well used ears good bone & substance, excellent pigment, well muscled firm body, in good coat, moved well just pipped to the post by PG winner. RCC.
MPB (2) 1 Allison’s Oberitz Coca Bean, 7 months baby, very raw right now, little long in muzzle, not typical head, correct pigment, needs time to develop & gain confidence, nice coat good texture & colour, shown well for one so young; 2 Horton’s Applebanks Tammy Girl, cr/w parti just 6 months, very raw, needs confidence, pretty head, well placed ears, pigment too pale, a little worried today & wouldn’t hold up her tail, her confidence will come. PB (3) 1 Beard’s Wyndlee Tilly Mint, 9½ months black, smaller type, nice feminine head with pretty expression, would prefer less round eyes, beautiful correct clean mouth, compact in the body, needs more bone, profuse coat of good texture, well carried tail, moved OK; 2 A Tammy Girl; 3 Holmes’ Hyacent Bucket. JB (4) 1 Pearce & Francis’ Longsdale Jen You Win, 17 months beautiful cream, one of the best Klein’s I have ever had the privilege to judge. She is superb in every way, feminine head with a melting expression, correct clean dentition, dark eyes, good shape, well placed & used ears, firm neck set into good shoulders, level firm topline, good tailset, good body in shape & condition, correct bone & substance, small tight well trimmed feet. Moved with drive from behind & enough reach in front, so well constructed, this girl moved with ease, I am sure she is admired by many what a classy girl she is, will follow her show career as I feel she will be hard to beat in the future. Only beaten for the CC by the maturity of her kennelmate, I am sure they will switch places many times. RCC; 2 Rogerson’s Terendack Desirabubble, 13 months cream, slightly smaller than 1 but a lovely feminine bitch. Nice head, good mouth, nice eye, well set ears, firm neck level topline, good tailset, well boned, moved well in super condition, coat good texture; 3 Norkett’s Applebanks Florentinne. PGB (3) 1 Chambers’ Printzagems Viva La Diva for Musique, 19 months black, unfortunately completely out of coat, sweet feminine head, dark eye good ear placement, firm neck & body, high set tail, moved OK; 2 Hughes & Forrester’s Tymy Quickstep to Candese, black standing nicely, nice head, sweet expression, well set ears, this girl needs to become familiar with the ring. Needs more confidence to show herself to advantage, moves very erratic. LB (2) 1 Pearce & Francis’ Radajasa Agent Cher Bertfiz of Longsdale, cream, I am privileged to be judging such high quality from same kennel as RCC, this bitch is feminine all through. From her beautiful head of correct proportions, lovely dark expressive eyes, excellent black pigment, correct clean dentition, well placed correct sized ears, short firm neck set into muscled shoulders, firm level topline with correct high set tail, correct angles for & aft making her movement flawless covering the ground with ease. Full dense immaculate coat, was exciting to see my junior against this beauty but maturity won this gorgeous girl the CC, her third, BOB & G2. Fantastic day for the proud owners; 2 Delve’s Claran Pavlova, didn’t want to show at all, couldn’t really assess her properly as she was nervous, would prefer darker pigment, mouth untidy, not at all happy, maybe having an off day, moved OK. OB (4) 1 Moir’s Stormavon Sky Flyer to Jansanleis, cream, good feminine head, nice eye, good pigment, well used ears, firm body well muscled, level firm topline, good bone & substance. Tail carried well, very nice quality bitch who moved well, just a shame she wasn’t in the best of coats, I am sure she is one to watch; 2 Wright’s Ch Orion Absolutely Fabulous, white with feminine expression, lovely eye, excellent pigment, short coupled firm body, not in full coat & seems to have lost her sparkle. Well deserved title holder; 3 May’s Ch Chilite Painted Feather.
