Critique

German Spitz Mittel

PD (1) 1 O’Loughlins Caoilta Wicca, well grown cream in tip-top condition & full coat, very well balanced with clean masculine head, super expressive, dark oval shaped eye, good pigmentation, decent shoulders & front, well ribbed up, firm level topline, high set tail, moderately defined hindquarters, moves very respectably, well handled. BP & RCC. JD (2) 1 Chambers’ Uncas Von Zwergen Konig, liked this brown, although not in clear coat, has a super outline with good length to leg. Unexaggerated masculine head, high set ears, excellent front & feet, well ribbed up & back, level topline & high set tail, good quarters, tidy action. Just needs a bit more time & ring confidence to make his presence felt; 2 Pooley’s Wyndlee Short’N Sweet at Azkaban, b/w of high quality, a close decision here, very typical wedgy head with super dark eye, giving good expression, best of fronts, arch to neck, well ribbed, level topline & tail carried high, moderate angulation to rear, true mover in quality coat.

PGD (6) This was a very even class of blacks & just one white. 1 Williams’ Druitz Black Prince, liked his outline, which is upstanding & well balanced, medium sized dark eye, well placed in masculine head, broad skull & moderate stop, decent front, ribs well sprung & topline level, high tailset, moved true; 2 Drechsler’s Wyndlee Blowin In The Wind at Jeansway, very similar, 1 had a marginally better eye. He has a decent front & moves out respectably, well handled; 3 Winser’s Nixtev Notorious of Lysebourne. LD (3) 1 Mulholland’s Zephon Spookz The Tempest, cream of excellent type, make & shape, head is well laid out with super dark eye & pigmentation, loved his expression, best of fronts, arch to neck, very well ribbed up, super coat & presentation, moved fairly true; 2 Hill’s Sobriety Hot Chocolate, brown who was close up, he too possesses a good expression, not quite so positive in front as 1. Very well ribbed, firm topline & tailset high, steady mover; 3 Smith’s Wyndlee Ghostly Magic. OD (5) 1 Chambers’ Ch Druitz Corncracker for Teamspitz, cream of handy size & so well balanced, strength to skull with ears set high, moderate stop & lovely eye, best of fronts, decent shoulder & layback, ribs well sprung & of good length, topline level & tailset high, moderate definition to hindquarters, in excellent quality coat, moves out true, holding his shape. CC & BOB; 2 Hewett’s Ch Spellcast Talk To Me, black, upstanding & also very well balanced, loved his expression & oval shaped dark eyes, well ribbed & tailset high, sound quarters & steady mover; 3 Hewett’s Ch Spellcast Secrets And Lies.

PB (4) 1 Hill’s Pufnstuf Put A Spell On You at Sobriety, black of good shape, just needing to fill out her frame. Attractive head layout, neat ear & eyes, decent front, good topline, tailset & quarters, moves freely; 2 Thurston’s Caoilta Iceni for Liubice, cream, feminine & of good type, not quite as compact as 1, but still well balanced. High set tail, moves true; 3 King’s Druitz Carias Bach of Grizwold. JB (1) 1 Clayton’s Studholme Kiss Of Fire, reserve in puppy, cream with balanced head, ears large enough & shoulders could be better. Well ribbed up. Erratic mover. PGB (3,1a) 1 Hewett’s Wyndlee Sweeter Than Wine, b/w with substance, very finished & presents a balanced outline, super eye & expression, good shoulders down to best of fronts, sprung ribs, firm loin & sound quarters, moves true. RCC; 2 Hill’s Sobriety Fifth Element, ultra feminine t/w, sweet expression from super shaped eyes, good front & body, tailset high, moves out quite respectably. LB (4,1) 1 Clayton’s Studholme Three Kisses, white of good type, good to go over on the table, although not very composed on ground. Scored in lay to croup, tailset & decent front; 2 Williams’ Druitz Melisande, light red of balanced type, good front & body properties, but would prefer softer eye. Moves soundly & in quality coat; 3 Butler’s Wyndlee New Kid In Town. OB (1) 1 Chamber’s Ch Nosregor Bewitched For Musique, quality brown of handy size, balanced head with excellent expression, neat ears, good shape to eyes, straight forelimbs, arched neck, well ribbed up & back with firm topline & tail carried high, sound true mover.
