MITTEL : Having taken a long time interest in the breed, I looked forward to this assignment and found my excellent entry most pleasing. Some exhibits, maybe due to the inclement December weather, lacked in movement and muscle tone. Also a number of exhibits, I felt, lacked in balance and, while coat is so much a part of the breed, it should be remembered that it should never come into the equation of true balance.
PD (6) 1 Sobriety’s Element of Freedom. Nicely balanced showy puppy with nice head, good eye and well set ears, giving a most pleasing expression. Nice front feet and hindquarters. Moved well. 2 Garbutt’s, Nixtev Polarize. A real baby, who very much lacked the presence and confidence of winner. I loved his overall balance and true Spitz expression. In movement I felt that he deserved the extra time that I spent with him and in the end showed that he had excellent movement. When he learns what the show ring is about he should have a bright future. 3 Lord’s Nixtev Phoenix.
JD (1) 1 Garbutt’s Nixtev Polarize.
PGD (6) 1 Chambers Uncas Von Zwergen Konig Shown in great condition with nice balanced outline both standing and in movement. Nice balanced head, good ear set and correct eye shape, all of which gives a most pleasing expression. Moved well. 2 Heslop’s Flamuna Franz Ferdinand. While lacking the coat of winner today, he still had a look of excellent balance. Pleasing head proportions and ears. 3 Pooleys Wyndlee ‘n Sweet at Arkaban
LD (4) 1 Williams Druitz Black Prince. Quality balanced head, correct eye and ear shape all giving a wonderful expression. Good bone, feet, hindquarters with correct topline and tailset. 2 Purves Bulabs Polarbear. Most pleasing cream with super head balance, good ear set. Well balanced in body with good topline and tailset. Lacked today the coat of winner, and at times seemed disinterested in the job in hand. 3 Andrews Runfold Krafty kid
OD (6) 1 Chambers Ch Druitz Corncracker for Teamspitz CC and BOB. Seven year old cream shown in immaculate condition and coat, along with looking super fit. He simply stood out, in my opinion, as a great example of the breed. With the very best of balanced heads, great eye shape, with super well set ears alert at all times, all giving the most wonderful true Spitz expression. Correct in front and hindquarters, all with nice bone, Nice neck set into great balanced body. Good topline and tailset. In movement he has both reach and drive and it is a joy to watch his true movement, fore, aft and side. 2 Mulhollands Zephon Spookz The Tempest. Res CC. Three year quality balanced male shown in super condition and coat. Pleasing head, nice ear set with alert expression at all times. Like the winner he as nice neck fitting into a great balanced body that has a good topline and super tailset. Good straight front well boned, nice hindquarters. While he pushed the winner hard I felt that he just lost out in eye along with winners drive in movement. 3 Hewetts Ch Spellcast Secrets and Lies.
PB (6,3) 1 Orr’s Rossfort Andante With Sobriety. Outstanding pale cream baby with most pleasing feminine head, well set ears, correct eye shape with dark pigment. Very nice front, hindquarters and feet. Nice bone Lovely square outline and good proportions and topline that held on the move. Very settled and showy, both standing and on the move, which she did so effortlessly, fore aft and side. Best puppy 2 Alfred’s Rossfort Black Girl At Teamor – Nice shape and outline on this black bitch. Moved nicely. Well presented. 3 Garbutt’s Nixtev Passion, white – nice puppy with much potential, let down today by her lack of training. Well coated, correct wedge shaped head, nice dark eye, stood square. Has plenty of time to settle.
JB (6,2) 1 King’s Druitz Cariad Bach of Grizwald. Orange sable with good overall shape. Nicely balanced angles, brisk mover, sound coming and going. 2 Hamer’s Liubice Vivacious of Clarmer – white, presented in nice condition. Lovely dark pigment & dark eye of correct shape. Well set ears. Balanced bitch, with level topline. Moved out well. 3 Garbutt’s Nixtev Passion
LB (4) 1 Orr’s Pufnstuf Put A Spell On You At Sobriety. Well made black bitch, so very balanced. Good Spitz head proportions with well set neat ears. Dark oval eye. Straight front, nice feet, nice bone & good hindquarters. Adequate layback of shoulder, good topline. Shown in excellent condition, so nicely muscled, moved well coming, going and side. Correct coat. C.C which I now understand gave this fine lady her crown. Congratulations 2 Hewett’s Wyndlee Sweeter Than Wine. b/w parti . Very pretty bitch with excellent head proportions, and neat ears. Good front, feet, excellent hindquarters, all with nice bone. Shown in superb body condition. While she just lacked the overall balance of winner, I felt that her effortless, fit true movement when viewed from any side made her more than worthy of the Res C.C 3 Connor’s Galvizach Limited Design
OB (8,2) 1 Heslop’s Runfold Joo Joo Bee Doo By Flamuna –black - . A black of sound construction, excellent balance giving a most pleasing outline. Good head proportions, with neat ears, and dark oval eye giving a true Spitz expression. Nice front, bone, hindquarters and feet. While she moved well I felt today she just lacked the super fitness and condition of my final winners. 2 Moir’s Ch Nixtev Liberty At Jansanleis –pale cream – so much to like about this lady, who’s a worthy champion. Very showy and presented well. Today she may have lacked coat, but this showed that she had wonderful balance. Feminine balanced head, correct shaped dark eye, & neat ears nicely set. Well constructed body, good front and hindquarters, moved well. 3 Garbutt’s Nixtev Lexis. Pale cream. On entering the ring, I thought this bitch would be the class winner. Very glamorous, nicely presented and showed her socks off. Great balance under her full pristine coat. True Spitz balanced head and expression with nice eye shape, correct set neat ears and alert at all times. Unfortunately, her erratic movement today cost her the class; and I do hope her handler will take steps to rectify this, as she is such a very worthy bitch.
